A Piece of Wood from ugly to beautiful...

So, for Christmas I wanted to make some for a member of our family. She had seen some really cute signs. But they were expensive.. now I am not knocking others make a living, but some of us can't afford the prices.

So the above wood was sanded with 80 and 120 sand paper. I left some of the weathered looking areas, just gave the wood a face lift. But, left the imperfections that give it uniqueness.

I applied vinyl letters, before I sealed the wood.

As you can in the above picture the before, during process.

I applied 3 coats to the face of the wood only. Added hangers via my hubby. And a great present.
